Riana is a dedicated and experienced multisport coach with over 22 years of involvement in triathlon as both an elite-level athlete and coach. She has a strong background in athlete development, team management, and high-performance coaching. Passionate about contributing to the growth of triathlon in South Africa, she is committed to mentoring athletes of all levels, from grassroots to world championship competition.

Hanna is a certified Learn to Swim and Level 1 Swim Coach with a strong background in competitive swimming. As a former provincial swimmer and South African Senior Nationals competitor, she brings both technical expertise and genuine passion for swimming to her coaching.

At Endurance Training Hub, Hanna focuses on helping swimmers of all levels develop efficient technique, water confidence, and race readiness. Her hands-on coaching style and motivational approach make her an invaluable part of our triathlon and swim training programs.

Billy is a passionate Level 1 Learn to Swim Coach who began his swimming journey at the age of 35. In just a few years, he progressed from beginner to competitive triathlete, proving that with dedication and the right guidance, anyone can achieve their goals.

At 40, Billy brings valuable experience in both swimming and endurance sports. As a two-time Comrades Marathon finisher with sub-10-hour results, he understands what it takes to push limits and reach new levels of performance.

Billy’s personalised coaching philosophy focuses on developing confidence, improving technique, and creating structured triathlon training plans that match each athlete’s goals. His inspiring journey motivates athletes to believe that with commitment and the right support, anything is possible.

Michael comes from a strong sports-focused background and truly understands what it takes to set and achieve meaningful goals. He believes that every athlete should stay connected to their “why”—the motivation that drives consistent progress.

Whether you’re training for your first 5km or preparing for an Ironman triathlon, Michael provides personalised coaching and structured training plans to guide you from day one through to race day and beyond.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Michael combines his expertise in mental performance coaching with extensive sporting experience to help athletes build resilience, confidence, and enjoyment in every session. Competing in the Hyrox Cape Town Woman's Doubles, we were determined to improve our time from our last race. Despite a recent calf injury that meant four weeks of no running, Coach Riana’s advice on pacing and cross-training with cycling proved to be the key to our success. The night before the event, when I admitted I was nervous, Riana’s encouragement and belief in me turned that anxiety into a fierce determination to get a podium finish. We finished in 1h11, securing an incredible 2nd place in our age group and 19th overall. This achievement is a testament to Riana's expert coaching and unwavering support, and I'm so grateful to have her in my corner, always ready to help me achieve my next personal best.

I started with Riana, some 10 years ago, as a complete triathlon and endurance sport novice. I had come last in first triathlon, and through her coaching and guidance improved little by little. Under her tutelage I have managed to qualify for triathlon 70.3 world championships, and finished extreme mountain bike races. This alone makes Riana remarkable, however her keen insight into all the dimensions of athletic performance (body, diet, and mind) have made her exceptional.

Before I started training with Riana in 2021, my fitness journey was a series of completed events— a marathon, a cycle challenge— but it was also a series of injuries due to a lack of structured training. Riana completely transformed my approach. She helped me achieve my initial goals of completing an Ironman 70.3 and a full Ironman, and in 2023, I was able to complete the entire Ironman Africa series without a single injury. What sets Riana apart is her ability to adapt to my life; she created a training plan that worked around my busy schedule and respected the demands of my articles. With her and Annemie’s guidance, my swimming has improved drastically over the past 18 months. Their honest feedback and realistic goal-setting have been invaluable, culminating in a 2024 Ironman 70.3 where I beat my previous personal best by almost an hour, hitting every target we set. I'm excited for what the future holds with these two incredible coaches.
